dc.description.abstract | Twelfth Convocation of the Institute held on February 3, 2006. Utsa Patnaik, Professor, Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi was the Chief Guest of the function. She also delivered the Kale Memorial Lecture (2005) on “Poverty and Neo-Liberalism”. Thirty nine successful students were awarded their M.A. degree (Economics), from the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (Deemed University). Miss Shaista Dhanda, who secured first rank with an 'A+' grade in the M.A. Examination, held in May 2005, was awarded the Pandurangi Prize.
